The Asociation of Oyo State Indigenes in the Uk have called on all citizens of the state to continue to pray for the former Governor of the State Senator Abiola Ajimobi who is currently undergoing some health challenges and shun Rumours being circulated on social media that the former Governor had passed.

In a statement issued today in London by the chairman of the group Mr Ademola Alalade described the rumour as a figment of the immagination of some distractors who are bent on distabilising the reconciliation efforts being put in place by the former Governor who has just being appointed as the Acting National Chairman of the APC.

The group while urging all citizens of the state to join hands with the current administration in the state to ensure the state is one of the most vibrant state in the country also called on all asundry to be mindful of fake news and always ensure they verify news information before spreading fake news on social media.

He said the rumour of the death of the former Governor Abiola Ajimobi that was being peddled across various platforms on social media could was not properly investigated and for no reason should this have happened.

Alalade described Senator Ajimobi as a leader who gave his best to the development of Oyo State and should not be wished dead even though he is passing through a phase in his life which is to no fault of his.

The Association through its chair urge all citizens of the state to continue to pray for good health for the former Governor who suffered complications after being hit by the deadly Coronavirus( Covid-19) pandemic.

the statement noted that all All Oyo State Indigenes in the UK are praying for Senator Ajimobi at this time and are optimistic he will overcome the ailment come out stronger
