NTI Graduates To Begins National Youth Service Scheme – Oyinlola

The Oyo State Cordinator, National Teachers Institute (NTI) Dr. Abosede Oyinlola has disclosed that graduates of the institute nation wide will soon commence the mandatory one year national youth service scheme.

Dr. Oyinlola stated this at the Bachelor Degree Valendictory programme for graduates of the institute of Ibadan Campus held at Loyola College, Ibadan.

She said management of the institute has received a memo informing it of participating in the mandatory one year national service for its graduates that are yet to attained age thirty.

The state  Cordinator, NTI  explained that the institute has developed innovative ways to enhance the quality of her programme which includes working with Commonwealth of Learning on Green Teacher Nigeria Programme which seeks to address rapidly growing needs for professional development on the fields of Enviromental education and Education for Sustainable development.

She said the institute is also working with commonwealth of Learning to implement Commonwealth Certificate for Teacher ICT Integration which is to prepare teachers for ICT Integration into teaching and learning in Nigerian schools.

Dr Oyinlola added that the programmes are projected to move forward access to quality education, to reach the unreached individuals to empower them educationally without breaching the integrity of the educational process.

She commended the Ibadan centre manager Dr Ronke Ojo and facilitators at the centre for their commitment and service in making the best out of the graduating students.

In her remark, the Ibadan Centre Manager, Dr Ronke Ojo while reacting to some concerns raised said the centre and the institute at the highest level of decision making is putting up measures to timely releasing of the students.

Dr Ojo called on the one hundred and twenty four graduating students to be good ambassadors of the institute and always remember put in their best in all they do  with commitment and dedication.

She added that the institute admission form is out at its Loyola College, Old Ife Road,Ibadan centre and they should take advantage of the centre that is more close to them and develop themselves academically.
