A former Newscaster with the Nigerian Television Authority Ibadan and a leading aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly under the All Progressive Congress from Ibadan North Constituency 2 Mr Ademola Alalade has described the passage of the the Olubadan of Ibadan Land Oba Saliu Adetunji as a colossal loss to the entire Yoruba Race .

Alalade described the late monarch as principled man, with exceptional leadership qualities that has impacted the lives of many people around him in a positive way

While commiserating with the entire people of Oyo State, the immediate family of the late Monarch and the entire government of Oyo State under the leadership of Engineer Seyi Makinde, Alalade urged indigenes of the state to continue to reflect on the legacy the monarch has left behind and do everything possible to uphold the legacy for the growth of ibadan land.

He also called on Governor Seyi Makinde to immortalize the name of the Olubadan as a mark of recognition for his role in the development of ibadanland and indeed Oyo State.
