The Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress ( Apc) during the 2019 general election Chief Adebayo Adelabu has called on christians across the country to remain steadfast even in the midst of the challenges faced during the global crisis caused by the advent of the deadly Corona VIrus that has ravaged all countries of the world .

The former Deputy Governor of the CBN stated this in a tweet message to christians in his state while felicitating with them on the occassion of this years Easter celebrations .

Adelabu stated that though this years celebration has been low keyed as a result of the global pandemic, we muct retain our hope in christ that this period like every other in the past shall eventually pass thus urged christians to imbibe the teachings of christ and show love and compassion to one another .

He commended the efforts of the Federal Government, private organisations and public spirited individuals for putting in place various palliative measures to cushion the effect of the stay at home order of the federal government, and urged christians to continue to pray for the leadership of the country and those in positions of authority for wisdom and energy to handle the pandemic effectively and protect citizens of the state

Chief Adelabu also admonished citizens of the state to always maintain good personal hygiene and observe social distancing as a way to curtail the spread of the deadly virus
