The immdeiate past governor of Oyo State, Senator Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi has died. He was aged 70.

Abiola Ajimobi was said to have died as a result of complications from the deadly virus Coronavirus which he battled with for over one month before he was pronounced to have tested negative of the virus

Ajimobi was Governor of Oyo State between 2011 and 2019 and was recently named the Acting National Chairman of the All Progresive Party a position he never resumed to.

It would be recalled that the death of the former Governor was rumoured last week which many frowned at and immediate prayer session was organised by many groups for his quick recovery.

The deathof the former Governor has been described by political associates as a big loss to the political landscape in Oyo State and to the entire nation/

He is survived by his wife Florence Ajimobi and 5 children.
