The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has disclosed that the present administration in the State would take people of the State from poverty to prosperity through its anti – curruption drives.

The Governor stated this during the commissioning of ICPC Office Complex in Ibadan, the State Capital.

He said the fight against corruption is taken seriously by the current administration in the State, noting that the first bill he sent to the Oyo State House of Assembly was Anti-
curruption bill.

He emphasized that the present government in the State is following the laudable steps already taken by the ICPC in deepening the anti – corruption war.

The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun, reiterated further that ahead of the preparation of the 2020 budget of the State, Governor Seyi Makinde had flagged – off the inclusive budgeting procedure that would enables a bottom – up approach in the budgeting process rather than the usual practice where projects are merely handed down the local population without their faintest input.

He commended the management of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for making the building a reality this according to the SSG would set a good Example for other Federal Agencies operating in the State.

According to the SSG, “in  the last nine months, the present Administration in Oyo State has flagged Off the four points Service Agenda that captures the human essential realities, we are determined to take our people from poverty to prosperity through clear focus on Security, Health, Education and improved economy on Agriculture value chain”.

In his Remarks, the Chairman ICPC Professor Bolaji Owasanoye, urged Government and the good people of the State to collaborate with ICPC in fight against corruption.
