Politician and Frontline contender for a seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly under the All Progressive Congress(APC) from Ibadan North Local Government Constituency 2 come 2023, Mr Ademola Alalade has called on members of his constituency and Local government to continue to heed to all safety protocols put in place by the WHO and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control to curtail the spread of the Covid-19 variant.

Alalade stated this in a communique issued out today in reaction to the recent news of the spread of the variant in the country. The APC stalwart was of the opinion that it is better to be safe than to be sorry and admonished all stakeholders within the Local Government to continue to ensure residents are complying to all the safety protocols.

He also advised all small and medium scale business owners within the Local Government to ensure that they put in place safety measures that will allow their businesses to continue as normal without the spread of the disease stressing that this will guarantee no future lockdown of business activities in the state.

He also called on government agencies within the state responsible for managing the spread of the disease to be more proactive and further ensure that all eligible citizens of the state that should be vaccinated get their vaccines as at when due.
