Oyo indigenes UK call for peace in Yoruba land

Oyo State indigenes in the Uk has described the insecurity situation in the Southwest of the country as unacceptable and called for peace in that region

The group while reacting to the current situation in Oyo State noted that the citizens of the state have been living in fear for a long time and government has not been responsive to the several killings and kidnapping of innocent citizens across the Southwest zones. 

The group while commending  the action of the Yoruba activists Mr Sunday Adeyemo popularly know. As Sunday Igboho who took a bold step to visit Igangan in Ibarapa area of the state where citizens are being molested by Fulani herdsmen to confront the Fulani community in that area, noted that his actions was precipitated by governments irresponsive attitude to securing lives and properties of citizens of the state

The group however called on the state Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde to take charge of the state security  and set up a dialogue meeting  with all security stakeholders in the state to ensure there is no break down of law and order in the state.
