UK BASED ORGANISATION OFFER COVID-19 SUPPORT TO RESIDENTS OF IBADAN

As government, corporate organisations as well as individuals continue to support citizens of each state in Nigeria to cushion the effect of the lock down directives put in place to curtail the spread of the deadly corona virus that is ravaging the world, a UK based on-line organisation Giftrete has also joined the initiative by presenting relief materials to residents of ibadan the Oyo State Capital

Giftrete whose major focus is to provide a platform to reduce waste and encourage responsible consumption decided to collaborate with a charity organisation known as Justice, Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) Ibadan, to offer support to cushion the effect of the lock down directives of the Federal Government so as to curtail the spread of the global pandemic of Corona Virus.

The Presentation which was done by the representative of the the organisation Mr Richard Oyedeji was witnessed by the Programme officer to JDPC and Giftrete, Anthony Oyedeji and the Head of Programmes Democracy and Human Rights Programmes ( DHRP) Barr Adenike Ibitara, Head of Programmes, Women Development and Child’s Right Mrs Tayo Adebayo and supported by Miss Anthonia Fada, was to provide succour to a few vulnerable people within the society.

The support which according to Mr Oyedeji will be a continous one during the unprecedented period will help feed many citizens of the state as well as other states within the federation who have been forced to stay at home during the pandemic

Some of the beneficiaries who expressed their gratitude to the organisation said the gesture was timely and urged other well to do Nigerians and corporate organisations to emulate this gesture to provide support to millions of Nigerian’s who are suffering during this period.
