The Executive Chairman Ogbomoso LCDA Barrister Daud Sulaiman has disclosed that members of Oyo State ALGON are not out to disrupt the smooth running of governance in Oyo State nor to distract the state government led by Engr Seyi Makinde.

Barrister Sulaiman while speaking on a radio programme recently also said it is important for Governor Makinde to realise the fact that he is not a governor for PDP members alone but father to all residents of Oyo State hence the need to guard his actions and steps.

He stated that in the interest of Oyo State and its people, ALGON is ready to make Oyo State great again.

The Executive Chairman explains that the association hold no ill feelings to members of NULGE because they are confused who to work with whether the caretaker chairmen or elected chairmen, but the only reservations about the attitudes is the continued withdrawal of council’s money by the caretaker chairmen in connivance with NULGE members.

He disclosed that for instance, withdrawals have been made from the accounts of Lagelu local government, Are Latosa local government, Ibadan North East local government, Ibadan East local council development authority and this has also been going on simultaneously in all the local government while refurbished vehicles left by the elected chairmen have been auctioned by the caretaker chairmen.

Barrister Sulaiman further said members of ALGON in Oyo state are interested in strengthening the local government administration and the association will not do anything against the constitution and that they will not subscribe to paying off of the elected chairmen by the governor as that is amount to wasting of state resources.

He added that no executive power can triumph over the majesty of the rule of law as it is the foundation upon which democracy is built adding that in the face of law the elected chairmen is the legal occupant of the local government.
