Ibadan has lost a king of kings- Alalade

Oyo Apc stalwart and current publicity secretary of the Oyo State caucus of the party in the United Kingdom, Ademola Alalade has described the demise of the Olubadan of Ibadan Oba Mahood Olalekan Balogun at the age of 82 as a big blow to all sons and daughters of Ibadan land both home and abroad. 

He stated this today in a statement on behalf of the Oyo State caucus of the APC Uk, to commiserate with entire nation on the passage of the traditional ruler of Ibadan. 

He described the late Olubadan as the king of kings who brief reign as the Olubadan brought peace and tranquility to the land. 

His love for his people was unprecedented as he gave everything to make sure peace reigned in Ibadan land. 

Alalade while commiserating with the entire family of the Balogun’s , President Bola Tinubu, the executive Governor of Oyo State Engr Seyi Makinde, the Olubadan in Council, the Ibadan Traditional Council and all the good people people of ibadan both at home and abroad over the sudden passage of the Olubadan, urged them to guard jealously the legacy of unity he left behind, saying that the people of ibadan should be more united so as to continue to foster the development and peace of the Yoruba land. 

The late Olubadan, Oba Mahood Olalekan Balogun who was the 42nd Olubadan of ibadan land, was a business man who also served as a  distinguished Senator of the Federal republic in the 4th republic, representing Oyo central  between 1999 and 2003. He will be sorely missed.
