The group noted that even though the party lost the gubernatorial election and most of the House of Assembly seats to the leading opposition party in the state, the victory recorded at the Presidential election where the party claimed all the Senatorial seats, and majority of the House of Reps seats, is something the party should be proud off.

The group also saluted the spirit of sportmanship demonstrated by the gubernatorial candidate Senator Teslim Folarin who after the results were released congratulated the winner and incumbent Governor Engr Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party. This singular act by Senator Teslim Folarin is a sign of maturity which every politician who looses out at any election should imbibe rather than resulting to violence.
The group however called on all members of the All progressive Congress in Oyo State to put the loss at the guber polls behind them and begin to review all the lessons learnt with a view to building a stronger force to challenge the opposition party come 2027.
The group also called for unity amongs all the major stakeholders of the party urging them to come up with a good strategy on how to become a strong opposition that will objectively challenge the excesses of government, putting them on their toes to deliver on their promises to the people of the state.
This accortding to the group will put the party in a good position to earn back the trust of citizens of the state.
