The Oyo State caucus of the Apc Uk has commiserated with traders at Apata market who lost properties worth millions of Naira, following the outbreak of fire when a diesel laden tanker exploded after the driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed around the Oando junction close to the market.

In a statement released today in London by the caucus Publicity Secretary Hon Ademola Alalade on behalf of the group, noted that this tragic incidence should have been avoided if proper monitoring process were put in place by the traffic management authority in the state.

The statement further noted that to forestall a reoccurrence of this tragic incident that has put many individuals in financial difficulty, the state government should put in place policies that will make sure vehicles carrying petroleum products are properly certified and fit for the roads.

The group also noted that the safety of citizens of the state should never be compromised and as such called on government across board to make sure roads and routes through which vehicles carrying petroleum products ply are properly maintained to avoid tragic incidents like this from happening anywhere in the country.

The statement noted that the Party flag bearer in the state and the current senator Representing Oyo Central, Senator Teslim Folarin has since visited the scene of the incident and promised to ensure the relevant agencies step in to offer succor to victims of the inferno

Hon Alalade also called on the government of Oyo State led by Eng. Seyi Makinde as well as wealthy Nigerians at home and abroad who have the capacity to come to the aid of the affected victims to do so as a matter of urgency especially now that the Yuletide season draws near.
