Sequel to the mass exodus of some members of the ruling party The All Progressive Congress in Oyo State following the party primaries which some party members described as an unfair democratic process, a party stalwart in the state has continued to advocate for peace and tranquility within the party leadership and its rank and file saying the party cannot afford anymore division within the party

An aspirant from Ibadan North Local Government Constituency 2 in the just concluded primaries Mr Ademola Alalade made the call today while reacting to the recent defection of some Apc members in the  National Assembly and in the state chapters of the party across the country , to other lesser party’s a situation he said is not in the interest of the party.

Alalade who believes that for what ever reason members of a political party who believes in the ideology of that party, should stay put and face any challenges with the hope of resolving those challenges for the growth of such a party.

He said it is only in Nigeria that you find politicians moving from one party to the other when their interests are not being met and this can only be because of lack of ideologies.

He opined that the Apc in Oyo State should focus on building capacity so as to be able to take over the control of the state come 2023.

While calling for a peaceful resolution of all crisis that might be rocking the party at this present time urged the Governorship candidate of the party Senator Teslim Folarin to be very diplomatic and accommodating in his approach of reconciling members of the party

In his final message Alalade noted that the APC has over the years built a reputation that surpasses any other party that has governed Oyo State hence should be in a good position to take over the affairs of the state come 2023.
