Biyi Oloko, former Special Adviser on Economic Planning to late Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo-State, Nigeria, and conservative candidate has won the by-election in United Kingdom(UK).
The Conservative Candidate, Oloko won the by-election for West Berkshire Council’s Tilehurst South and Holybrook ward, www.newburytoday.co.uk reported.
In all, Mr Oloko won 548 votes, beating Labour candidate Charles Croal and Liberal Democrat Steve Bown.
He will now represent the ward as a member of West Berkshire Council.
Berkshire is a county in South East England. One of the home counties, Berkshire was recognised by Queen Elizabeth II as the Royal County of Berkshire in 1957 because of the presence of Windsor Castle, and letters patent were issued in 1974.
Late Governor Ajimobi of Oyo-State, in Nigeria, had “distinction-class team” and built “a highly seasoned think tank” during his tenure as the Executive Governor of the pacesetter state.
