Oyo Indigenes Uk Thrown in to Mourning mode after passage of the Olubadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji

The entire indigenes of Oyo State residing in the UK woke up Sunday morning to the sad news of the passage of the Olubadan of Ibadan Land Oba Saliu Adetunji.

The Monarch was said to have passed away early Sunday Morning at the University Teaching Hospital at the age of 93.

In a statement issued today in the Uk by the Association of Oyo State Indigenes in the UK and signed by its Chairman Mr Ademola Alalade, described the death of the Olubadan as shocking

The statement described the Olubadan as man of many parts whose integrity can never be questioned. The statement also described the late Monarch as a king who gave his all to the development of his domain( the ibadan land) and his people.

While commiserating with the entire people of Oyo State, Alalade in the statement urged all sons and daughters of Ibadan to continue to maintain the peace which the late Olubadan has been able to maintain over the last couple of years in the ancient city as this is one of the legacy the monarch left behind.
